changelog · 5 October 2026
AI assistant and tutor are now part of Pro
From 5 October 2026 the simulator's AI assistant and the Learn AI tutor are part of Pro. Hobby keeps everything else, and past AI chats stay readable.
From today, the AI assistant in the simulator and the AI tutor in de:volt Learn are part of Pro.
What changes
- Hobby no longer includes AI requests. If you used the assistant on Hobby, your past chats are still in the AI panel for you to read. You can't send new requests unless you upgrade.
- Pro is unchanged: 100 AI requests a month across the assistant and the tutor.
- The 7-day Pro trial still includes AI, with 20 requests over the trial.
What stays the same
- Everything else on Hobby: live simulation, the full parts catalog, the oscilloscope, 5 cloud projects of up to 100 components, PNG export and the free Introduction to Electronics course.
- The written hints in every Learn lesson, on every plan.
- School plans. Students and teachers in a licensed school keep exactly what their licence includes, including the tutor.
Plan details are at docs.devoltapp.com/pricing. You can upgrade from Settings, Billing in the simulator.
